Trade Routes Revamp

Some points that you can enrich:

  • Trade Route profiles
  • You will be able to create a trade route without a fleet.
    Once you have created this profile, you will be able to save it and use it on any fleet at that moment or any moment later.
    You will be able to see how many fleets are using a particular profile, which ones, how profitable this is in a whole. You will even be able to share them with other players.

  • Up to 25 port targets
  • Instead of 4, you will be able to set up to a 25port trade route schedule. You will also be able to set its frequency, like once a day, or once or repeat permanently (current only option).

  • New interface for Trade Route creation
  • Current interface will become obsolete. The new interface will be so much better (Railroad Tycoon II anyone?) that no one will have a need to use the current one again.

  • New and improved monitor screens
  • Information rich and graphically enriched, the new monitor pages will give you a much better understanding of your trade fleets.

Very intriguing, piracy will be much harder with 25 port routes.

Hopefully pirates get some perks soon. Flagship and skirmish updates soon perhaps ;).

Why would anyone want to have a 25 port route? I understand expanding it past 4, but 25 seems unnecessary.

think of it as 25 routes, not 25 ports - even if you are only using 5 or 6 ports you could have a fairly specific route set up with 20 or so specific pick ups and drop offs.

Mechanics wise I am wondering

could you have a 2 port route, with 25 different market / warehouse instructions ?

OK. Yeah, I got that you can add more ports and specifics, but 25? Why would you make something that complex? There aren't limits on the number of routes that a player can have.

It would be better if you could assign multiple routes to a fleet via a schedule. Then you wouldn't need a 25 option route.

the 25 destination trade routes will be most welcome for stocking shipyard/hideout port, as one can use it to adjust ratio of multiple different goods that are imported. also looking forward to trade route profiles, i would find them most helpful
