Recently, I turned to the nation Isle of Man ( All is fine with this action )

However, until I noticed when I changed ; All previous marked battles that I use to be flying the Jolly Rodger for turned to the same flag.

So the suggestion is; For plunder Reports, we use the old name of the opponents and the flag that you did the battles with.

To help identify which battles were what.

+1 for the flag

personally i find name changes confusing :)
i understand that people do it, but the player doesn't change. being able to track identity thru old plunder reports helps with that. an alternative is that in the 'profile overview' a tab is added with a names history

I make a point not really to change my last name; If you are willing to track someone like you say, you should know stuff about them.

However, there has been talk about a # change, of which for X amount of credits you can change your identity completely.

yes, i noticed and appreciated it. often you want to keep track because of 'stuff'. For me 'stuff' is still all second hand stuff, learning who is who from forum rantings or participation.

some recent forum topics show that 'stuff' can get too personal. a new identity could help to end a feud and allow for more decent enjoyment of the game.
However, more should change than name and id number. all the fleet numbers and ship numbers as well. if i disappear, but a new player shows up, with the same gameplay and assortment of ships the connection is easily made.

but, as always, bad guys are caught because they cannot keep a low profile. they do themselves in cause they start bragging or bringing old grieves back to life.

Both. I think that if u leave a flag, it adds to confusion. You can always just SAY it was when u were under the jolly rouge

If look at old battle reports the flag a Ship or ships are flying remains the same as when the battle took place and does not change, only the flag for the player in the link.

Name change, ok, but sometimes it can be confusing if you have not been following that persons id numer

Id number change I think is a terrible idea. If you need a new Id quit and start over.
I hope that does not get implemented.
