on the subject of noobz. i would like to suggest the game get a Spanish translation.

Alot of the new players i talk to dont speak english, only spanish. i get why the game won't be translated into more obscure languages, ie serbian comes up alot also.... but the Spanish speaking population is significantly larger, internet accessible, and as i said, show up as new players on a regular basis.

Bumping this back up , Although me and Majesty are " Enemy's " in game he shares a point i most agree with , although this would be a big job to do : So the webpage Translates into Spanish etc. It does not have to be used for all of the languages just the most common ones, which i believe are Spanish , English and Chinese? May be wrong about that one.

I , as I train new players when they ask for help , or when i am not busy : Their is a few i have to communicate via Spanish, they do understand English but not a great amount of it , so every time i talk to him : I have to slow down my Web-Browser in order to go on Google Translate - Or even better , just make the Instant-Message service to be able to translate : And as TPK has 6 Top Helper awards I think it is possible he has trained new players too : And could of been doing the same stuff i am doing currently.

About obscure languages as Serbian, I have to say that Serbian is a same language as Montenegrin, Croatian, Bosnian (in ex Yu it's called Serbo-Croatian) and could be understandable by Slovenians and Macedonians, I think Bulgarians too. And one thing I can tell. :) When Serbians (or rather Balkans) start to play some game, they became the passionate players. :)
I see many players from our part of world start to play, but there are few who remains... because of language. Pity...

Whatever language you communicate in, I'm sure you will not understand this: ZXhunfgtura juntajs #unienjkimaols.
That done, I agree that many people in the world speak Spanish and have access to the internet. While many know English (My, my amn't I proud of my name?) too, it would be nice if one could speak in one's own tongue. But I don't think this is a big problem, if one really likes the game, but, for that, you gotta understand English (The language, not me). Google translator even started identifying languages quite a while ago. Language is not much of a barrier these days.

Idk who would make the translator or how the logic to figuring out grammar would work but the idea isnt bad at all.

I tend to use spanish dictionary online whenever i dont understand a spanish speaker over the internet. Perhaps we can incorporate a button at the bottom right of the message that translates ?

+1

I'm not sure of this. Most translators are horrible and never get the translation correct. If I liked the game and it was in German, then I would take the time to learn German so I can play it better. I also wouldn't want to rely on translating nor give the impression that players should post in a non-standardized language. Learning curve between languages is one thing, but trying to translate between two people that don't speak/read/write the same language is a fiasco and can be detrimental to playing.

I don't know enough about this process to vote lol. I say another one for Capt. Jack! - Skyhawk
