i believe this suggestion need to have a newcomer protection. or they will lose their only rare cards from presents to someone else.

This means that when pirates or who ever that raids a merchant would want to take his ships just so he gets the voodoo, currently most raiders attack just to get money and leave the merchant alone instead of taking his ships, this could be very powerful, waking up to find his fleets and all his rare voodoo gone would be a huge hit.

One of the most dangerous things for merchants is offline time, they can't do anything about being raided.

I am gonna stick with -1 on this.

-1 It seems there are plenty of new things implemented spur of the moment. If you want to solve issues what about market manipulation or any other real problem. I see these suggestions as diversions and attacks on those with fewer ships and different play style than my own. Also you have a voodoo capable of stealing voodoo already. Add that with this suggestion and it would seem a ploy for more cash to be spent on voodoo packs. Dictating how others have to play to suit others wants is not game play but instead the marks of a game catering to certain individuals and that is never good.

From a trader's point of view, I will beefing up my treasury to not only protect trade fleets, but a bit of that rare voodoo. This will increase the plunder bounties, too.

Raising the stakes - I like it.
