The warehouse max reserve does not work.

Example.

My warehouse in Akrotiri currently has 35441 crates of wood. My min reserve is set to 8000. and max reserve is set to 25,000 reserve.
According to the desription.....

"Any excess resources will be sold to market."

The max I should have in the warehouse is 25,000. The excess should automatically sell to the port resource market. As it sits now, I have 27,441 up for sale on players market. The max I should ever have for sale in the players market with this setup is 17,000 crates. (25,000-8000)

This feature should be designed to regulate warehouse inventory. If it goes unchecked and no players buy wood, the warehouse will fill to max with wood.

Had trouble figuring this out a while back too. As far as I managed it, if you manually fill the warehouse, you can hold more than the max amount you set : but any more, such as fishing, cargo unloaded or plant production, should be sold to market automatically. Any holdings consumed (e.g. food used as wages) should not be replaced until the total holding drops below the max setting.

As far as I could see, excess amounts above the max setting are not automatically sold off but fresh stocks should not be automatically added.

If the stock level is increasing, then mayhaps one of the inputs as not being diverted to sell by the max setting..

Addendum : Just had a fresh thought : plantation store/sell levels are set by the slider scale (in the Plantation pages) to a percentage of the available warehous space. It might be the case that this setting is conflicting or over-riding the settings in the warehouse pages?

I checked my slider in production. I am already above the percentage set. I am transporting in resources. This is not plantation production.

I suspect if you uncheck the sell to players, any resource over the max will be sold in short order.

However, any amount over the max should be sold to the market, regardless if you are selling to players or not.
