Whenever I get a chat from someone, I can hear the notification and I can see the blip on the bottom of the screen showing me that a player has sent me a message. However, upon clicking their name to open the chat, nothing happens. The only time you can open a conversation, at least on my end, is by clicking someone's name on my friends list and then clicking the chatter's name afterwards.

Additionally, the names of people I chat with via this service sometimes overlap each other instead of spreading out into separate spots on the chat bar.

I'm running Chrome and don't seem to have any issue with the chat. Clicking on a name opens the chat as intended. I believe Argo had a similar issue. I suspect that the issue is player side and not with the feature.

What browser are you using? Version/Build?

Do you have any non-standard extensions running?

Chrome, Version 93.0.4577.63 (the latest). No extensions running.

When was the last time you cleared your cache?

I have this same problem across multiple devices. I reported it long ago but the issue persists.

About 2 days ago, for school. Will try again though.

Edit: it persists, though sometimes it works properly and sometimes it doesn't.

Dez - I have been reporting this .. and I still have the same problem.
Cache is cleared. Chrome is latest version. Chat still not working.

Do either of you use an ad-blocker?

My phone does the same thing on occasion. No ad blocker, regular safari.

Doesn’t happen very often but only happens if I ever decide to message people on it.

Try the following:
1)Navigate to the game screen (s2.piratesglory.com)
2)At the top left of the browser screen, next to the url, there should be a lock icon. Right click on it and select Website properties.
3)A new tab will open, select to allow popup windows and redirects at permissions.

This should do it. Let us know with results.
