The biography page will soon get filters and perhaps an improved layout. It is not a priority right now, but we are here to collect ideas before we implement this.

The filters I am talking about, will be similar to the ones Global Events have.

Given the chance,we will be able to add more elements to the Biography.

how about having personal achievements in the biography as well?

History of names? If you change your name, it appears on your biography

That would be very useful. But then you would just have people lock out their biography (make it private).

Abillity to fill missing guild names.

History of owned ships by category.
Track of voodoo chest land marks. 5K, 10K, ...
History of accomplishments.

I think players may have an option to temporary show their biographies to a selected player only, instead than to all.

Like, I keep my biography hidden but I want to show it to someone to demonstrate I didn't change Guild, for example. So, by putting the ID, I may open my bio to that player only for a limited time (two hours? one day?)

Besides, I would like biographies may track also unpaid loans (which loan, to who, and when).

I disagree with the current setup of making biographies private. There is certain information that should be available to everyone. Changing of Nationality (needs to be tracked), changing of Name (needs to be tracked), Becoming King/Queen should be viewable by anyone. Ranking up (besides being King/Queen), Guild Changes, and other details in the biography can be hidden.

We need a who is who page!

Some biographies are viewable. I guess it is a sort of way to say to the world I haven't done anything that needs to be hidden.
But the fact that PG allows players to change their gamename is a peculiarity of this game. And if someone thinks that hiding the biography is enough not to be spot... well, why not?
With a minimal effort lots of infos may be tracked anyway (what flag was flying a player and how much his/her Influence was at the day a port was taken, for example. I sometimes notice I even recorded stuff that the owner doesn't remember him/herself lol).
If someone thinks that setting bio to private means not to be seen, that's ok to me.

I think anyway that it would be nicer if disbanded Guilds names were recorded in biographies too. Now their names appear just as empty brackets.
