Undercover ability

Postby TheLoveTiger » Tue Jun 20, 2017 3:30 pm

Over the past few days I have been hit with a few props or other random voodoo cast by an undercover player. No biggie really, but what I want to suggest is, rather than having a set limit of who you can cast on, why not just let anyone cast randomly on anyone. Rather than me try to guess who can cast upon me, Why not remove that factor and let anyone cast while being undercover? Then I would have no idea who cast on me. Am I missing the point as to why there is only a limit you can cast upon well being undercover?

If you remove the requirements for undercover casting you lose one of the only benefits to having any fame...

Then raise or drop your fame to where you need it. It's pretty easy to do.

Fame stat is already a useless stat, as you mentioned it is easy to manipulate up and down. I just don't see the point as to weaken some cards in a way.

Fame, as it stands, could be entirely removed from the game with no ill-effect whatsoever.

True, you can manipulate your fame to restrict undercover moves by some, but then, they can do the same to bring you into range. That would be a minor side-effect if possessing fame itself actually did anything useful. But it doesnt, the benefit of high fame comes from getting rid of it with a coin-for-fame swap, not keeping it.

+1

I agree with Danik and TLT. Fame in the big scheme of things is useless in its current implementation. While it does serve as a gauge for whom one can cast undercover with, it does have drawbacks as it narrows the field. Undercover should be undercover. Fame should not dictate.

-1 for sure.
I think all cards should be put into under cover.
Reason for this if your famous person you should be able to cast on low people to ruin their hopes. It happens all the time in the real world of people messing with up and comers cause they intruded upon that person.
Lets make fame useful to control Voodoo. All voodoo should have a an undercover to a set amount of fame.
At the same time if you want to dump gold/credits to make it so people cant see what you did then that should be allowed to.

To allow little people to cast pirate tales and especially booty master without the person knowing is a dumb period.

Eliminating fame would sure make a few voodoo cards useless.
I can think of one rare and two uncommon cards that would be become non functional.
Not that it would be an issue..just say'n.
Fame, someday will play a greater role.

I don't think we should eliminate fame completely, I just agree that we should remove it as factor for undercover.
