I prefer to see the exact time and give this update a -1.

Thoughts of others?

I agree with Chal, but I suggest this becomes something that individual players can change in their settings. If you prefer the old way of having the exact time you can, or if you prefer how it is now you can.

Its a policy decision. It targets to affect user behavior in the way we think it is better for the game. In this case, this little change will hopefully further increase forums participation by everyone.

in a situation that a rapid discussion between 2 players takes place, we could track new posts by the timestamp. i will miss that a lot. i use the tavern to keep current, thats harder to do now.

also, at what time does the wording schnge? X made in the nation forum a post 1:55 minutes ago; it still reads as 'a few minutes'..

I think something like this should be an option that players can decide whether they prefer the new change or stick to the old, because while some may like it this way, I much prefer the exact time stamps, and it seems I am not alone in this. With this new change it makes it much harder for me to be able to tell if something new happens in the tavern or not.

I'm indifferent with the change. Having the exact time had it's conveniences, but I can live with this. It isn't going to kill me to not know when the last time someone posted on the subject, and even then that information is only a click away.

I suggest adding - recently - or something similar.
- a few minutes ago
- recently
- a few hours ago

looking at a post that is more than 30 minutes old that says a few minutes ago is a bit misleading

it should change to recently after maybe 5 to 10 minutes

I can live with the change, but I would prefer to be able to choose which I want. It is a minor inconvenience, and if I have to deal with it I will, but I figure its important to let Admin know that some of us prefer the way it was, and that a good compromise is to give players a choice on how they want it displayed. Its definitely a minor complaint, and I can live without it if they prefer not to.

I agree with Meliva. This should be an option.
Expecially in Nation forum.

Me too. I STRONGLY prefer the previous look. I know about how long it was since last I read the forum, and seeing how long it was since a post was made made it very easy for me at a glance to see if I had read the latest post in a thread or not. I fear this will make that harder, which in turn may make me not read all threads, which is definitely a bad thing.
