While I know this kind of suggestion has been made before.

New building : Printing Press

Max level : 20

Cost
Not really sure, I will look at this later.

Each level allows the owner to add a new page to each newspaper.

Each page can house 1000 words, 10 photos and 5 ads.

He also have a choice on if it is a newspaper, a book, a novel and some others.

The owner can write newspaper along with cliping photos and putting advertisements on his paper.

He can then publish his paper at a small fee depending on the amount of photos and words on his paper for each copy. He can state how many copies he wants to print.

He can also state the price for each paper for players to buy them.

Eg. Player 1 publish paper for 10 G each, Player 2 buys 1 paper for 10 G + nation tax.

When published, each player gets a event noting A newspaper or book or whatever was published by Whoever.

Normal players can select a list of people who have a press for who to get a new event on papers from.

Open for discussion.

it would be better if its a port building so that nation members can write on the newspaper and the nation gets some gold from it

Its better if everyone gets access to this when they have the money. If the nation really want this they can pay a printer to do that, its a win win for both.

Same for advertising, someone can pay the printer to advertise, bountys, banks, etc. They can build a printer too, but if there is a more famous printer. That would be better to pay them, they can create fake news this way or make books, just like real life.

Would like opinion from more people.

The concept of a 'professional' newspaper is good. There would only be room for 2-3 wordsmiths/ newspapers creating news, gossip and factual data in Avonmora I would think.
It would have to be top notch stuff enticing people to pay for it. Anyone who has done a newspaper knows it takes several hours/day to research stories, solicit adverts, gather facts and statistics, analyze port battles and changing port pops to turn out a good newspaper. Almost a full time job.
Could you make a living in Avonmora selling newspapers or at least supplement an income? Maybe...

Not to put down what you are proposing but I think it could almost be accomplished within national forums by nations and those willing to submit stories

This is more of a building for opening a personal newspaper business, why must you all suddenly bring in nations? Is this too hard to understand.

I will put it in simple words.

You can make papers, books and anything related to paper, and you can publish it for people to buy it.

Is it too hard to understand, mates?

It cant get anymore simple. It can only get more complicated, which is what you guys seem to be saying, make it more complicated.

This will NOT work. Nobody in their right mind will spend gold, gold bars, materials, turns and time to build a hideout building to print a newspaper that they can print for free without the expenses. Even if one or two were to think like you do, it is a waste of time and coding for the administrators to make a feature just for two players.

@Stan Rogers: If diplomacy doesn't work, try the blunt truth. It is easier to understand, if not accept.

Guluere. Can you think out your Hideout ideas a bit more thoroughly? Not to be rude. But a lot of them get rejected, because of silly mistakes.

And Da Vinci summed it up quite well.

These type of suggestions require a lot of work, thought, and detail. Voodoo suggestions are far easier.

What I don't understand is why someone would pay to do the expense of building something that would not earn you 2 gc to rub together.
Nor do I understand why someone would purchase some bits of nonsense concocted from the imagination of some publisher who would fancy themselves a writer and who has the literacy skills of a primary school student.

Give it a trial run from a 3rd party website and see how your business venture turns out and perhaps from the profits you earn, you can bribe CJ into doing development for a full time press in Avonmora.
