Legendary Voodoo - Survey 2 - Ingredients

Based upon the results from the poll Lefty created, I think some evaluations are needed
To figure out what direction, if any we should head with Legendary Voodoo. I am putting together a couple of polls
to try and see what the community wants. On topic comments, suggestions, and concerns are welcomed.

Note 1 - I did not included voodoo cards as that seems to be a given.

Note 2 - I am not suggestion that all on the list be required for every card crafted - just that they are possible ingredients

I don't know. I saw this poll and though it would be a needed function for something like this.

Based on Lefty's poll, though, I expect lots of "no legendary voodoo" replies in the other poll, making this one moot.

I think all but Gems could/should be used for Voodoo crafting.

I like the idea of adding in a quest system for some rare ingredients the most. This breaks the normal model up a bit and depending on the quest could require some big guns to come out.

I think all current suggestions that have Gold Coin required should be converted to Gold Bars (valuation of $2,200 per bar rounded down). So if there is a suggestion that says $1,000,000 gold coin it should be converted to 454 gold bars. This would help slightly in the gold bars price department.

There are already voodoo that effects Fame/Influence so I don't see why those should be excluded

Sacrificing a governors daughter or son for some powerful spell is just a cool idea.

Just a few thoughts....

Personally, I like gc and gold bars only. And credits. I want other voodoo to make up the main ingredients.

If there are to be anything else, I guess questing for certain items would be what I disagree least with. It would require lots of quests to be generated, though.

I agree that gold and voodoo cards make up the bulk of the ingredients. I was just thinking that if each new Legendary card required 1 of something (Mermaid Tear) it would add a new element to it and possible help control the flow of some cards so some players wouldn't feel like this would break the game. Just thinking out loud here...

if you want the legendary cards really scarce, what about the following

in avonmoora exist 5000 gems. to be able to craft legendary cards a player need to own a certain amount of gems. the stronger the card the more gems he need to have in possession. (eg 5 tiers with 20, 40... 100 gems needed)

Gems are stored in ships (each gem takes one cargo slot). when a fleet has a ship with a gem in it it will get a special marker. when a fleet with gemship in it loses a battle the attacker can chose to take the gem or to accept a preset ransom (set by the owner of the gem)

the right amount of gems need to be in possession for the whole duration of the casting. when the number of gems drop below the needed amount the brew goes stale and only a random amount of ingredients will be salvaged from the brew.

(when this gets implemented, the 5000 gems are hidden in npc ships.)ships with gems cannot be docked in the marina, but van be out of fleet.

this suggestion will (with the right set of numbers) lead to battles between voodoo masters. with the numbers i use here, only 50 players van produce top tier legendary cards at the same time. a list of the top 10 owners of gems should be added to the demographics, gems changing hands reported in the events tab.

what i think will happen that only a few will build up the witch hut under these circumstances (hihgh risk low return) and will be able to make a decent income. that will attract others to build up their huts and the competition starts.

with a scarcity build in, strategies have to be developed. all gems in one ship or spread out, go for top tier cards or invest in lower tier cards etc etc.

adding on to what maha said if that does get added make it so only high price ships can hold them like sotl's and mows
