Loyalty Points
Recently I have made two Suggestions with " Loyalty Points " on, which people queried on what they would be based on:
In short: It is to display how Loyal the player is with his own Nation. When you reach Council, instead of it just being based on Influence in a series of Ports, it can be based of Loyalty points.
How would Loyalty Points be earned? Well I have a array of ways to do so.
> Protecting a Port from ships taking there citizens away - Where one would dedicate a fleet to protect a Port, so that any Immigration fleets on that route, get attacked and if successful the player earns Loyalty Points
> Blockading a Pirate where a player from the same nation a port owns, dedicate a fleet to bombarding a Pirate from leaving the port after he has done more then 20 battles or captured more then 3 ships from the same player.
> Fetching Immigrants: Instead of protecting, you would be fetching citizens to a port of your current nation.
> Completing Nation Missions, previously suggested by other players - Where one can earn points from attacking certain enemy's, attacking certain enemy nations ports ect.
> Days spent in the nation: Per day spent in the nation after X amount of days, you will manually be awarded One loyalty point extra.
If one does not care much about Loyalty Points alike Pirates they can sell them for Gold Coins! Or, you can transfer them into Influence * Pirates are not able to do this - A Privateer buff, if you may. ( Influence you get a higher amount then Gold Coins, due to Pirates earning Loyalty Points easier )
How this can be used for Pirates:
Well, if you are a pirate you can still earn Loyalty Points but unlike in a nation you will have no use for these - But they can be sold for Gold coins the value is unknown so we will just say X gold coins. They will earn it in the same way, with a small buff: Keeping piracy alive, they get a extra five loyalty points per 20 attacks produced.
This may lead to other Game Developments such as Port Blockades, Most Loyal Players Demographic, Nation with most Loyal Citizens and total Loyalty Points in each nation.
This is a brief suggestion, it can be developed into a greater suggestion.
