We should be able to see previous versions of posts before they have been edited.
It would be very useful for those posts, where the first posts constantly gets edited because of suggestions made.
You could go back and see what has been changed.

That is why the author should leave the OP unedited and quote it to make tweaks, that way a revision process is seen.

Captain Jack has in other posts specifically asked for the author of a suggestion to alter the first post to an "updated" version.

Now, personally I agree that having the original post is also a good idea. In my post "Nation Change Barriers", I tried to strike a middle ground: I DID change my first post to an updated version, but kept the original post as PART of that first post, specifying what was the original post and what was the "updated" version.

I'm not sure what the best way to do this would be. I can understand Captain Jack: Having the "updated" suggestion in the first post of a thread makes it easy to see what the suggestion currently is. Yet, being able to "follow the evolution" of a suggestion is also nice. And reading the comments to the original suggestion, when that suggestion has been edited, causes confusion.
