I've had 11 self sacrifice casted on me buy only 4 went through. There is no way this is even close to 75 percent. I had countercurses on too. Plz fix this problem.

I feel like the mindbar percentage is messed up too. Isn't it 25% to go through, which means out of 4 voodoo casts, 1 should go through. It feels like it's more of a 90-10 ratio than 75-25

I won't say you're wrong, because I haven't seen enough results to determine if the percentage is correct or not. However, as a mathematician, I can tell you that you need quite a lot of results to determine if the percentage actually is wrong, with a significant degree of certainty. How many have you cast, and how many were blocked? If you tell me, I can determine if the difference between your actual result and 75 percent actually is significant.

I could determine it too... It's really simple but I don't care enough to test it out with voodoo.

ive been casted on before i forget who i think it was LT and i had a mind bar up nothing got through and i think there was 10 or 11 of them

All depends on ones luck.

You can take a serenity down with one Mindbar but its lady luck.

Other times it will take you 15 serenitys

Theoretically, yes: if a mindbar is up then 1 out of every 4 voodoo should go through. However, that is a 1/4 chance every single time. So if you cast 100 curses and only 1 went through- it is possible... just highly unlikely. As said by Nelson, it is all down to luck. However, I believe a better word would be chance.

Chance based stuff is always like that, in other games as well.

Because of such one can always be surprised, someone have cast on me 2 fire ship before and both hit my strongest ship in the fleet, with a chance of 1/25, and this kind of things happens to also duplicate.

My instinct is that most of the stated percentage chances tend to be somewhat off : that said, we do tend to only remember the times we cast 10 and got nowhere and forget the times we cast 4 and got them all....

Quite a lot of games use that format for chance based stuff, all in words its "The more you lose the more you win"

Or the other way around, it means that the more times something succeed, the more times it will fail the next time.

Even big games like, doto 2 and such have the same coded format for a few ingame tool/weps. (I used doto 2 because I think jack wouldn't like the actual name being said in the forum.)
