Credit cents

Postby Haron » Tue May 24, 2016 8:37 am

I suggest that it becomes possible to trade with parts of a credit, as in 0,01 credit. Several voodoo cards and ships are worth less than 1 full credit, and this also makes it possible to sell items for a more "precise" price, like 1,75 credits instead of 2 credits.

This also opens up the possibility for the system (admins) to tax every credit transaction with, say, 1% (rounded up to the nearest 0,01 credit). This will make more credits "disappear" from the game, causing a higher demand for credits to enter the game, and thus hopefully more credit purchases for "real" money, meaning more money to develop the game.

The only difference it will make is things easier to value. Some cards have a value of 0.11 credits. How do you sell 1 card? You would have to have like 9-10 of them to be able to sell it for 1 credit.

The value doesn't set what you have to pay. I opt to keep credits in the form of integers, for the sake of my little brain! It seems like this would be good for a little bit but not serve any purpose in the "long run."
PM me any complaints (10M gold coin wire fee is mandatory).

if anything they should be called credit pence.
But as someone who sells ships I am opposed to the idea as it would eat into my profits.
The alternative would be to be able to sell multiple ships in one auction.
I don't know, it seems to me if they ain't got you one way they got you another,
So what's the answer? that's what I keep asking myself, what's it all about?
Know what l mean?

At least you're honest about being opposed due to loosing profits :P Some wouldn't admit that and just purely try and shut it down haha

i totally agree (except i don't acknowledge that i have a little brain; mine is actually quite useful)

making credits into decimals, in my opinion, would just ruin the system. it makes it more complicated than it has to be. so what if you have to sell multiple cards or ships at once? not everything has to be as convenient as possible for absolutely everyone

The ships market overprice is an intended feature. The same in the voodoo market.

If we put decimals, then how biddings should then work? The same for overbid? +1 minimum till it meets the percentage?
