Player Trading

I think a player trading feature would be a rather handy tool to have implemented, so that players can pass resources to other players, such as supplies, ships, and gold. This would allow larger players to move around goods between each other without having to sacrifice fame and large amounts of gold just to pass a ship from one player to another.

Agreed! Agreed!
But there's got to be a limit based on each player's ship count! Otherwise I could have a new player a level 10 Ship of the Line and they could sell it for millions. Then the game would only be about WHO you know and not HOW GOOD you play. Don't base the limit on player fame because it's easy to poach an inactive player to get higher fame even when you only have 1 ship. If the limit of the gift value is proportional to the lower of the two player's number of ships (or captains) then it is more proportional to the newest player's experience and net value.

There'd also be a danger of people creating hundreds of multis to build up funds to feed their main account.

It'd be an incredibly useful idea though, espesh if the guilds had some sort of piratey communal warehouse for storing/trading tht could be controlled by the leader/higher ranks.
