Trading company.

What if we were able to build a company.
Supply it ships, hire workers.
Set a trading route for it and it would generate some extra income.

isnt, it....i dont know, already implemented? You buy ships, hire crew, set up trade routes to gain profit...or is it just me? ;)

I guess there could be perks added to running a company. Plus different prices to hire people.
Just a rough idea. Someone creative can add to it :)

-1 to this particular idea.

however, i would like to see some more collaborative elements created in the guild. perhaps guild technologies that members donate resources to research and applies to all members - something along those lines. i understand we just had a major update with the academy so this may not be feasable now, but maybe for the future

well there's a company of mercenry's then again theres merchant companies too. Or does this imply different guilds setting up the one company and trading splitting the profits

-1 this idea would go better with guild bonuses. Maybe this can be used as a small reference to some guild tech tree ideas.
