How was one player influencing prices so much?

Sadly, as the banking system restricts credit exchange to very high level banks, of which there are few, its inevitable that one or two can influence prices greatly. More banks in the exchange system would be good, but getting to level 15 before you can trade both ways is a big ask and comes with a massive cost in resources and credits to achieve.

I'd be happy to trade credits in my bank at better rates than currently offered : I'm less happy about spending another billion or more on it to be able to do so.

Your bank level should affect what returns you can get on credit trade, or I don't know. We need more people trading credits for sure.

Send me all your money : I shall then celebrate in an inappropriate manner...

The credit having a higher value is a good thing, right now the top three banks don't even want them
