An intricate plan...

Here I want to share with all of you my perspective about newcomers or else commonly called NOOBS!

The spark of this initiative, has been given to me today, after I saw a PK member anihilating a noob completely.
My motivation for this though, is less merciful and charitiful than this spark. If I look deep inside, I will discover selfliness and hunger for power.

But let's get on the plan...

Let the NOOBS grow!
Even better, let them grow without knowing what lurks nearby.

If you attack them while they are clueless and small, you only get to keep few gold and you will most probably drive them away.

However.. if you wait...
then they can become a real FARM!

You can always farm them later... the more newbs they are till then, the better for the farmer.
Not to mention that they might even end up inactive, or fustrated; then the gain will be monumental AND you won't have any strike backs.

Furthermore, you also risk more as it is one thing to have constantly danger on your ships, and another once every few days.

So, to sum up:
-It is more profitable
-It is less risky

Especially regarding risk, imaging a good player being abused as a noob; this can end up in your demise and there is already one sound example and I am sure many more hidden. I will justify this saying with a hypothetical scenario that you will find difficult to reject:

-Let's suppose that a strong player starts the game. He will most probably end up with much danger on his fleet because this is the best way to go when small.
-He will surely receive attacks.
-Let's suppose that one player decides to abuse him; what he can do ? How much can he persist? A newbie can recover ANY loss within 3-4 hours with the upgraded Porter feature (which now gives more gold) AND with the 1000 gold cost ship when he runs out of ship. Not to mention that to bring him to this point you will need Call leviathan cards that is for me one of the most powerful cards in the game.
-Inevitably, you will not have neither the resource nor the will to keep pestering him. He will keep growing when your interest falls.
-Even if you are ready to keep pestering him, he can desert his account and start a new one!
-Then, you will have an enemy and for a good reason. No one likes bullies after all and no one will see it unethical to abuse an ex-bully.
-Who make lifetime enemies in real life and how much these cost ? It is the same and worse here....

So here is again my intricate plan:
-Let them grow
-Plunder them later...

First of all I am not a bully.

Second, I asked my officers for help and got permission, but no guidence in this matter. I was not the one who drue first blood and when I was attacked and defended myself I left the player with his force and a lot of gold intact. I even told other players that this was a lesson play and if the assailant contacted me in any way I would show and help him in his quest for building his game. I would show him how in a weeks time I went from 2 ships and little experience to a Trade buisnessthat is growing, growing without the frenzied plunder of ships and fleets of other players just because, as well as the selflessness of ones own gain rather than looking out for the smaller players in the Guild.
Then when I was attacked a second time I had to take action or have a constant running fight and constantly looking over my shoulder so I could not tarde my wares and buld my trade. I defended my fleets and means of support, would anyone else not do the same?

Its easy to judge others actions after the fact rather than giving sound advice pryor to. Espesially when one is to busy with thier own gain and prosperity.
Dont START none, Wont Be None.

Poppet speaks nothing but truth here. Poppet was once my little biting fly. Every time I batted him aside, he would come back and bite again. Now he is an apt student and told me that if his biting fly would just contact him, he would train the brat....gnat like I am training him.

Judge not lest ye be judged.
Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.

As poppet's officer, I see that he was justified in the second attack. He first did a small counter attack but even after contacting the player the player still decided to attack back. Poppet was fully justified in his attack. I agree with Black Sparrow but Poppet was being kind first before he was not. When peace talks fail, violence is the only left option. The player also does have chance to restart. Poppet can give him the opportunity for him to be mentored by him but if not, then so well. If he attacks poppet again then Poppet has the right to retaliate.
