Greetings everyone,

Welcome to another discussion regarding future developments in Pirates Glory. This idea comes as an expansion to the existing Nation Control feature.

-We can allow nations to construct buildings at the ports of Avonmora.
-These buildings will allow special privileges.
-The buildings will be constructed with Nation treasury and player donations.
-The buildings will be invincible (at the beginning for the very least) and will belong to the port (not to the nation who built them).
-The port owner (nation) will be the buildings controller alongside with its allies (or just non-enemies).

Obviously, nation treaties should precede of this expansion.

Here is an idea for a building:

Lighthouse
Allows players to recall any fleet within the port vicinity home.

More ideas:
-Top 5 contributors (either nations or players) can be mentioned in each building page. For example, this Lighthouse has been built with the donations of the exceptional... etc etc

Harbor Master :

More efficient operation of the port and wharves ; generates an additional 1 gc per crate landed which is split between the fleet owner and the controlling nation.

A drill ground:

Players can invest into population but instead of citizens their are soldiers who stay there. The bigger the donations the more soldiers that will be there.

When harmful voodoo is cast, prop,bd the soldier have a percentage to probably alter the voodoo casted. The more the soldiers the better.

So with 100k donation thats 1000 soldiers and 1% probability to fend off attack. The more soldiers basd there the harder for probability to go up with each 10 soldeirs bought an extra 20-50k is added to the total amount needed.

If 100,000 soldeirs then maybe 4-5mill for the next 1000.

i still think ports are easily lost and gained in this game to lose a port in 1 day is not realistic it should be on a long term like 3 days when you get a port it would take some time to organize a coupe de tat or whatever it is called

Yea, but this will make nations put a lot more into keeping a port. Maybe bigger nations will have to downsize on ports to focus on keeping/developing the ports they can.

Not sure I agree fully with the notion that port buildings remain for the new owner to use and benefit from : then all the expense falls on the idiot nation who first built them but then lost the port : but the new owner can then lose the port but bear no lost expense on the buildings and so on and so on.

So, I think either the buildings are lost on transfer (civil commotion and riot destroys them) and must be rebuilt or they are severely damaged (maybe a random 25 to 75% damage) and must be repaired by the new owners before the full benefit returns.
