The Royal Navy had several 100+gun 'First-rate' Ships-of-the-Line over the years : 7 of them in 1814. It also had a large number of other SotL's which exceed the 60 cannon ships in this game. So such ships (above 60 guns) were common enough. Indeed, though the classification changed over time, a 60 gun ship of the Royal navy would have been classified as a 'third-rate' or even 'fourth-rate', a 'second-rate' would have around 80-90 guns. Terminology changed as well, with even 90-gun ships being called 'frigates' or 'great frigates' at one time. The term 'Ship-of-the-line' simply meant one powerful enough to take a place in the 'Line of Battle', the most common battle formation. Thus some vessels lost the designation as even more powerful warships were built to supercede them. Wikipedia has an interesting set of articles on the subject for those interested in it.
It wasn't just the British, however, the Spanish had a 120-gun 4 -decker called the 'Santisima Trinidad' : not something your average pirate ship would be happy to bump into whilst looking for plunder!

Aye, but it's not the
size of the guns but
how you use them that wins the battle.
It's a shame the fleets of the 18th century didn't know about the 25-fame-protection rule...
