[No Bug] Loyalty in last nobility missions

I thought I was nuts, but twice now there has been no mission points given on a mission so that you have to do all four...for example at marquis, I had 85 loyalty points and needed to get to 100--15, right? There were 4 five point missions, two npc, one influence, one attack player enemies. I did three of the four (the two npc and the influence) only to find I have 95 loyalty points.

It happened on the last class too...

I think maybe you get the 5 for the first NPC mission but not the 5 for the second?

I lost points on the missions too, damned ships rats must have been nibblin away at them in secret.

I believe when you receive two separate NPC missions (not a multi npc character mission, but two separate objectives) you only get the 5 loyalty points for the first one but not the second.

While yes, I was able to get to duke, I had to do ALL the missions. This caused a number of problems. For example:

You need 15 loyalty points, according to the points listed, you should be able to do 3 of the 4, skipping say the kill port pop mission. So, you sell your 20 Black Death cards, only to find that no, you really do need to do that mission. Thus it takes you 2 whole weeks to re buy all the cards you had carefully saved in the first place. Pretty irritating.

Another time I wouldn't need to attack player players, so I cancel a bunch of raids. Then, it turns out I did need to, and have to scramble all night picking off one fleet at a time.

Oh, and don't say you could just attack nation npcs, that didn't give points at count level.

I guess what I'm trying to say besides the fact that its obviously messed up and when a computer tells you 5+5+5+5=15, something is wrong, it also causes a lot of aggravation. At least it did me:)

I agree with the math that Cappy is talking about, though i spent hours bashing NPCs so i did not anger the high rollers, I did every mission at all early levels with the knowledge that these would stack up and save me from having to complete a couple near the end, that was until game said no and like cappy had to re invest in the voodoo I sold as apparently 4 * 5 = 15 it seems to happen going into the last two missions, after completing Baron the extra points you may bank on the way disappear forcing you to do all the missions on the Count and Marquess missions. Maybe I just drank far too much grogg and thought it!!!

Aye, it happened t' me too.. I thought i'd do an extra missions and skip t' attack enemies mission for marquess... But after advancin', I see that t' loyalty has lowered t' 80... Captain Jack, I think that you had programmed it so that once you advance from a specific rank to t' next... t' loyalty should be a specified number. Like after you become Count, you should have 80 loyalty only. A small change in that mechanism should do well i suppose.

It kinda happened to me

I say the npc in two port took em out,and only got 5pt

I increased influence and got 1pt

However they said population should be terminated by 3mill.........i did it but I didn't get the points

I had two cast the black death again. Yarr its really irritating.

Its confusing... each mission can gain you more than the required loyalty points needed to advance : but they dont accumulate from mission to mission : if the mission requires you get 10 points to advance rank, and you gain 14 doing it... you only accumulate the 10 points for your overall score : which bugged the heck out of me when I noticed it.

its worse than that...the carry over would be one thing, but the arithmetic itself doesn't add up w/in each mission.

I feel this might have been a recent bug cause people swear to me that you can do the missions without black death for example--that may have been true at one time, but impossible now.

And, hey, about a half dozen people with zero connection to me said, yes it happened to me and yes it was annoying.

Like the fact all the sell all commodities, buy all commodities thing doesn't work right, ok, I can live with the fact a basic game function doesn't actually function. But this bug is pernicious and maybe you have to put yourself back in the shoes of someone doing these missions, but its a major flaw.

Otherwise, ditch the points, make everyone do every mission, but I thought there was a branching thing going on that if you didn't want to be, oh I don't know, a genocidal mass murderer, you didn't have to be.

Why have such a lovely rank system and literally not have it add up?

Good point Cappy, might as well scrap the points and make all missions compulsory then we would not be debating how screwed over we felt trying to avoid getting my arse whacked by the high rollers in the belief if I had enough points I would not have to do that part of the mission, thus saving me bacon.
