having, ahem, 'borrowed' a new ship, I thought it would be nice to have it reach port a little faster, so single ship, less than 2 hrs travel time... 'Instant Travel' it! But then I saw this....

'IF you wish, you can use your turns to make your ship reach its destination immediately. The cost of the turns is relative to time remaining for your ships to reach their destination.
You do not have enough turns to command an immediate move. You need 633168 turns for this but you only have XXX.'

'relative to time remaining'... over 300000 turns per hour?

It was a frigate I had purloined, but had to wait for it to get back to port before I could size it up and plan its future... no biggie just was funny so thought I would share it...

When a plundered ship hasn't yet reached it's destination you can't instant travel it :)
