I'd like the ability to sell plantation stock already in the warehouse to the port, I know we can sell future production, but if the ability to sell stock already warehoused currently exists I haven't found it.

I've stepped back from "rightful king" as of today's reset, my operating permissions in Spanish ports now correctly state 3 days to go as CJ said they should.
Problem is I can't renew them, when I click on the "Negotiate Extension" I get the following;
You do not require an Operating Permission as a Rightful King.
Ah.. Great!

Are you sure you get this message? Renewing permissions are not possible when a non-rightful King sits on the throne so this is what the message should probably produce.

Try again and let me know, thank you.

I suspected that might be the issue, tbh that makes it a bit of a problem.
This is the definition I can find of yours for a Rightful King
"First of all, we now have Rightful Rulers. As long as someone is at least 3 updates on the throne, in the last 5 days, he is named as such."

Given I am now seeing a countdown of less than 3 days I believe it may be impossible for me to renew permissions as that Righful King change will happen at the same time the 3 day window closes?

Note also that the new Spanish king has been able to send me a request to renew his operating permission, I have "parked" the request but he would also appear to have issues he shouldn't have as his permissions should be free.
The reason is clear, the Righful King time window has not kicked in and we are in between legitimate statusus.

If I may suggest a simple fix, change the operating permission renewal requirement for those immediately affected at a ruler change to commence at the time the rightful king is named, and not at the time of change of "status" as happened at today's rollover?

Not only you but everyone will not be able to renew permissions till these 3 days pass. This, at worse case scenario under a peaceful transition, can mean that someone will be without a permission for up to 3 days. This is not as terrible as you may think.

During no permission days, the productions halts, so every worker that would otherwise work at the field, is rested. Regardless of the workload setting.

As the previous Rightful King, you will be left without a permission for a few hours, till you get the new signed at the next day. I don't think we need anything extra here.

Maybe add option to give away/ sell excess of acres? I know I could use tool for it instead waiting rented time to pass

Thanks CJ tht works for me for now, going forward though could you extend the existing OP to extend another 24 hours?

We operate in a lot of different time zones and getting the permissions sorted may well take a day and I'd prefer not to lose a days production as they get bigger and the "lost" production mounts in value, I assume others who are being affected in any national change would probably be in the same boat.
(Lods could lose a small fortune lol)

We could do this I suppose. I am skeptical though as to why we should secure a flawless transition. Such a transition has to come with consequences. Rightful King transitions could be even worse. Again, that is for everyone involved so if we give an extra day to the King, we single him out on his power loss. Why secure it this much?

However, again, even for Lodswe, a day off is not a big deal.

While on this, just think that a starting plantation, has some thousands or millions of workers in the wild, where they work 7 days a week and 8 hours a day. They sleep outside and they have access to nothing. Just picture it :P

lol, so you are suggesting a national holiday for the poor overworked souls may be due, or overdue :P
Fair enough, the real world aspect of it did occur to me also.

Am I correct in thinking the plantation will consider to accept new workers from my fleets whilst they while away the day with rum and women, these being fresh blood for my slave pens when the new OPs come into effect?

If you ask if plantations accept immigrants when you do not have an operating permission, then yes. They will normally accept them.

If you even have acres rented (or add Fertile Lands if you do not) your workers will still work on the rest of the facilities (like Utility, you can continue building). All workers at facilities, work 8 hours a day, regardless of workload you choose. The workload only affects fields workers.

Fields workers though, during no op period, do not work anyway.
