It would help if you can assign some workers and resources to continuously improve the building

i feel more transparency on when there will be acres to bid on would be needed. so id suggest adding total amount of expiring leases to the page from where bids are made from. this could be updated once, during daily reset. example:

today - 500 acres
tomorrow - 1500 acres
in 2 days - 0 acres
in 3 days - 1300 acres
in 4 days - 1000 acres

id prefer to see atleast next 3 days, 5 would be golden. no individual bids should be shown, only total amount of land that will be available for bidding within each day.

I'd like to suggest that an "Enemy of the Crown" should not be able to operate a plantation on that nations soild. This feels completly logical to me.

I'd prefer to decree it and have it so, not a matter for discussion, I'd also like to decree it and have it take effect on plantations already existing, so somewhat further than your thought.

I agree. This would also give more importance to sentencing that someone is an EotC.
Besides, it sounds perfectly coherent that a Nation's Enemy of the Crown won't be able to open a plantation in a port controlled by that Nation.
