As king would still function by influence,
All one needs to unseat the king is enough influence.
Council could all contribute to raise a player to that position. They could also use propaganda on the current king.

All though a possible player based rebellion to exile the king by vote is an interesting possibility. It could be quite helpful or quite destructive to a nation.

I like the appointment of Governors, but I think that all Governor's should be appointed. Influence should have no affect. Failure to appoint would result in no Governor at the port, and the rolls and responsibilites delegated to the Governor would be unfilled and unused.

So you could technically have a Governor that has zero influence, but since they were appointed by the king they get extra perks? That seems like it could have a negative effect. I agree that the Governor should be appointed and what port. But there should be some minimums involved. Right?

Would it be fair that he was appointed over you or LordAv that have millions and probably have contributed a lot more to USA. Just making a point. It probably wont happen, all I am saying is it could.

It probably wont happen, all I am saying is it could.

Yes it could, but that would be his choice as King. If I don't like his choices I should increase my influence and become King myself.

I agree with Kings having the ability to appoint there chosen dukes as their governors. If you wish to be chosen for the governor position you need to either cozy up to the King, offer something to the nation or the King, or surpass him and make your own choices. Internal politics become much more important like this.

I would suggest 3 possible additional appointments that would perhaps only be ceremonial at first, but could be developed to have their own
specific functions.

+1 A king should be able to "form" his council and delegate functions via appointment.

The only issue that I see is that some titles and jobs would still need to be handled by more than one player, as not everyone is on all the time. Don't know how you could create oversight in this game.
