however, Maha has come to understand that for most players winning is expressed in goldcoins; Fame is almost irrelevant.

make high fame rewarding by gaining acces to special stuff. dip below the thresholds and access is withhold again.

extra piracy rewards are given in steps of 500.000 famepoints (in a similar way and in addition to the pirate tech)
2 mil fame is needed to start a guild; a guild leader will lose his rank when his fame drops below 500.000
warehouses have storageroom depending on fame. (no lose of upgrades, but drop below a tresshold and the useable space in the warehouse is 'under renovation')

If fame is to have any significance, it should be calculated in a VERY different manner than today. And there are even voodoo cards which attack a players fame directly.

The way fame is calculated today, I only find it relevant when it comes to using undercover voodoo. Apart from that, it has no significance to me at all.

Me too, but SSTG made a good decision, so, no controversy between guild and nation interests.

Too bad, the concept of PG doesn't give possibility for big mass battles and monitoring the situation on the battlefield... This kind of novelty, I would like to see and maybe, Idk, could be possible to implement it in port battles...



The idea of multiple fleets fighting at the same time can make things a lot more interesting. Sail a fleet of 50 cutters against the capital ships and see what they can do with their quicker speed.

Along the same lines, fighting a port. The ideas about port attributes and being able to take a port by military (the blockades idea was along these lines too). And make it so that someone has a very high amount of danger after attacking a port so that way there are more attacks all around. That should increase the lit fleets and more attacks that people will commense.

Here's an idea to cause more action:

Add a new daily voodoo gift. However, you only get this gift if you got at least 5 plunder wins since you last collected your gift. More plunder wins (up to some limit) gives you a better chance of getting a rare card.

Actually, I think it would be even better to apply this to the existing gift we get every 12 hours. No attacks, no gift. That should cause some more plundering.

I'd like more diplomacy between nations, perhaps a combat mini game, interactive map (like being able to go into buildings when you click on a port), more types of governments for nations, ship specializations, and a lot more. Most of the other ones I have may be too hard on coding or for a web based game to handle

and you would get what newcomer trying his hard to get gift losing fights and at the end quitting game...

if this game morphed into a 1st person game that had a map that when you went to your fleets it showed where they were on the route and how much longer is left along with showing all the ports on a map but the map would be a bit more interactive im pretty sure if it became that it would lose some of its current fanbase and gain a different one but at that point you would have to download it

Wolfie: Newcomers don't really need the voodoo presents except to sell on the market, anyway. However, it could be remedied by not having the requirements for newbies. So once your newbie protection is gone, you have to start doing some plunders to get those presents. Or one could go with my first suggestion, introducing a NEW present, available only when you plunder. Lots of options to do this and not hurt newbies. Although I don't really think this would turn away newbies in the first place. They would just see that this is something they can't do yet - like so many other things here, it would be something to stretch for.
