There will be those who will abuse every aspect of a game. Those players should be banned. I simply want to safely cruise around and hit plunder at every port to find out who needs advice. If I am attacked, I retaliate. Simple as that. Sure, real money can buy fame in this game but I would have nearly none comparatively if the pirate formerly known as Arkoon had been demonstrating as much wisdom as intimidation. I can't resist an opportunity to teach. My thanks to 3 Fingered Larry and Chessie for additional opportunities. Hopefully my lessons will have benefited them.
Newbies will stay as long as they believe that they can advance. That is where we come in. We contact them if they show promise and groom them for success. In the end they go out on their own or join a guild and grow faster. It's a lot like life and parenting. Some players have the instinct to take the time to train and some don't. Case in point:
- Must Be Over 18yrs Old. I Am Not Here To BabySit Teenagers. (exerpt from a guild application rules list.)
Yesterday I gave my all. Today I'll give more. Tomorrow, I'll take back what you took for granted.
