I've gotta agree with Danik here kiddo. When you volunteer your skills for an editing gig, it is rather important that you try to use correct spelling and grammar... Typist, the word is typist.. that's the reason why the red squiggly line appeared under the word 'typer.'

In Shakespeare's time...(When was it?), spelling mattered little. He used to sign his name "Shagspear", Shaxpere",etc with little regard to spelling. I am doubtful whether the practice existed in the Age of Gunpowder, but I think it did...(I am not sure).

I wanted to suggest a few competitions on the paper..well, not exactly....I meant some rewards for good articles, crossword puzzles, etc. I am aware that the like are already here in the Forums...but well, Newspapers do that, So I just thot to mention it anyway) :

Had a thought for a new metric to reflect banking power of nations which could be an occasional feature in the Herald : could be done by an equation taking into account levels/deposits held or a simpler one of a points system according to current rankings (which I assume are based on a similar metric) totalled for each nation : so, using a rank scoring system, ( 22 banks listed, so 22 points for #1 down to 1 point for #22) todays scores would give this :

Tokelau : 69
Midway : 39
Spain : 39
Mexico : 21
Oman : 20
England : 19
Cuba : 16
Bermuda : 13
S. Africa : 1

Vote to move to Discussion Archive.

While the Avonmora Herald hasn't had an article in a while, I don't see a need to have specific requirements or special considerations and positions. Simple submission and best articles get posted.
