I am determined to provide solutions. Plunder should be a top feature and not a side feature in the game.

I can propose more things to appeal to everyone. We can change Ship Plunder rules for example. Give pirates the right to plunder a ship that heads for ship bottom (regardless if the opponent has enough gold). Or make this right a percentage bonus with technology. Or give defenders the right to choose a limit on when to hand out the ship or pay the gc bounty.

I can surely think of more mechanisms that do not hurt the ship owners more than they do now.

I just want cooperation and arguments. We cannot move forward if we stick to current plunder rules. The more cooperation, the best the final result. I do not want compromises from any side either. I want the plunder rule change to be widely accepted and something that will encourage and motivate everyone.

Something like being able to plunder a bit without the need for danger raising-voodoo.. the rules could and in my opinion should be changed, but one word in your sentence ruins it for me. "Technology." Read Skyhawk's reply on the Academy, he makes a good point.

So by your logic Wolfie, since we threw the OP out because it was unfair, we can throw this one out because we see it as unfair now?



my point of view on this is that you pirates as you reer to yourself wants improvments which would hurt players which you mark as merchants without giving any way to defend...

And after you spend phrase merchants glory and it's unfair you then throw in unbalance and yet you guys propose unbalance which leads in your direction

I was all for the original tweak, and would argue that it doesn't really restrict viable strategies. It was others who had different opinions about whether it was balanced or not.

Perhaps making Skirmish you loot the cargo and 2.5% of what the player has ( But it is paid from the game - Not player )?

So then you can make a "good" amount and Skirmish is worth it? Which would help the pirates when they are " Rookies " to buy the voodoo?

We can also look at the objective: Dozens of meaningful and interesting battles per day for every player. How can we achieve this in PG as it is today? Surely, plunder formula is only a part of it but perhaps the most important one where we can build on it.

Not sure what is broken about the plunder rules? All a Pirate has to do is monitor and time when to drop his Fuji loophole, then very quickly deplete the merchant of gold and begin sinking and plundering ships.... Missing a pirate dropping the Fuji bomb on ya can result in millions lost and the beginning of ship plundering within 1 hour, if we don't carrying enough gold. If we carry massive gold reserves, then the pirate feasts heavily on the gold for hours until guild and/or individual comes on to remove Fujis and other "bad" voodoo.

Not complaining, just pointing out that pirates can feast and do feast under existing plunder rule.

yes I saw that and I never said that you said it was unfair but due the others whom outvoiced players whom actually wants to improve game CJ wanted to make it more fair to bump across same issue again because those players are cowards whom only know how to throw in phrases such as merchants glory, it's unfair, it's unbalanced at any given idea about giving defenders chance to defend

I wouldn't have the "turns" committment for a dozen or so daily plunders. Way too many other things in game to spend turns on... Now a pirate would plenty of turn usage for plundering/attacking/skirmishing....

Most players have a battle fleet that they rarely use. This could change for example.
