I said the benefits suggested here. You would need tons of gold to get your technology benefits presented in your resolution, so by adding more things "to help pirates" such as the technologies, one would need more gold, which means more voodoo, which just adds to the problems already faced by pirates of being reliant on voodoo...

noone said that you are not allowed to trade as a pirate to get coins but then I guess it's too much for small brains...

Wolfie, I have some trade ships. The point is that the suggestion restrains the pirate lifestyle to either go without the benefits OR do exactly as you said and get a lot of ships to trade with... As I've said, I am more for fixing the problems with being a pirate and needing voodoo before fixing something that, as Nelson said, has been fine for years..

I have explained above why this needs to be changed. Scroll back and find out why. Among the reasons that we have, is to get somewhat rid of fight back hateful-avenging gameplay that is now so possible.

Please explain me how this suggestion restrains the pirate lifestyle. You say so many opinions but give no arguments. Picture me as a newcomer that does not get what you mean. You need to back your sayings or it is like sour grapes for me.

Now, to arguments:
Piracy tech only adds EXTRA earnings. If you do no want them, do not research it.
Same again with Technology B that affects % for random loot. It adds extra earnings.

In the same time, with no extra invest you get:
-Extra earnings from Advanced Piracy (up to 62500 per attack versus current 25k per attack)
-Extra earnings from Sink Chance Plunder

These are by default IMPROVEMENTS for anyone who plunders for a living.

So which exactly is your problem? The reduced max gold coins plunder up to 100k for someone that wants to defend? He will pay/invest for this which makes it by default fair.

In the same time, we offer you an extra technology to increase percentage and get extra earnings from the expected increased treasuries at hand AND the expected increase of people who run with large fleets.

They said that we can also make warfleet to attack them, but they never made trade ships to combat what they say as unfairness, here is what i have to say on that, you pirates have far more damaging voodoo then us traders, all we have are defensive voodoo and money making voodoo to combat you.

Cpt. jack, I apologize as well, I can't let them get the better.

Wolfie, my point is not that it is hard to get resources if you have ships to trade with, or that this stuff is/isn't easy and beneficial for people. My point is that the suggestion was made with an idea of not limiting play-styles, but in my mind it is doing just that to a style that is already restricted by, once again, needing voodoo to do anything. It's "relieving" some styles, in a way, while sacrificing others. (This is just my opinion, the flaming you did before was not necessary.)

Guluere, it will take a massive effort to bait me into the pirate vs merchant illusionary talk. Define me the Pirate and then define me the merchant. Give me definitions that are widely accepted. Then we will talk.

Like how we need voodoo to defend ourself? Its just the same, so, stop talking about unfairness.

I shall now go to a website to find the definition on both of them.

Piracy is an act of robbery or criminal violence at sea. Those who engage in acts of piracy are called pirates.

Merchant, retailer or one who attempts to generally buy wholesale and sell later at a profit.

I think I am going over board.
