This is old as dirt, but not a bad idea. Just needs to be updated to be viable. Maybe an account anniversary bonus. On the Yearly Anniversary of you first setting sail, you get a bonus. A simple condition would be a player would have to be listed as active before and during anniversary. So a player couldn't log in the day of their anniversary for the first time in a long time just to collect.
