I think the current system works well and would oppose further changes that made it cheaper to get higher levels.
The current 40% reduction makes a massive difference already. Making it cheaper, looking at party trading, means large ROI and a lot less time to recover the cost of levelling initially.

If you want a large warehouse to party less, or for more each time, then it should cost a lot. Depending on the amount of warehouses you building that's probably near a level 1000 warehouse in every port, paying that off should take a lot of partying.

I do agree that it shouldn't be cheap. But not 35 billion to store 10mil crates. We have ports with a billion resources, plantations make millions per day. But we can't even store 1 mil crates without going broke.

Honestly though, there is no reason why you would NEED that much space except for party cards, and you can still easily profit off of them at much smaller warehouses then that. If you fill them up too fast then divert some fleets to pure trading, and less on filling up warehouses.

Well, the same argument could be made about when banks were at 50m. We don't really need 160m per accounts, just put it in more accounts.

The difference is that expanding the account limits has no impact on income-it just means you can store more in one bank, which at best means you can access more gold at once thereby saving a few turns. More convenient sure, but certainly not more profitable.

Doing something similar to warehouses on the other hand would enable much larger parties, and this could eventually end where only a few mega traders would be able to do parties, as they would monopolize all the party goers.

Another key difference is that banks have a limit-level 20 and they are finished. Nothing more can be done-save for the tech cunning accountants which is also really expensive-and is also limited. Warehouses are limitless as far as I know. So eventually their costs WILL become insane-it's inevitable unless they cap the costs at some point. Even with the 40% discount you're still here upset about the costs. 40% is already a huge deal. That's almost half off.

If you're at the point that it's insane to level up further even with that then honestly you should be content with what you have. It's already super massive.

Another option to expand warehouse, without changing profits, would be to have a separate plantations warehouse that can only store produced resource. Which I think would help as I right now have trouble stocking food and storing resources at the same time for mine.

To the party point on party. Party cards are already super cheap. If I doubled the size of my warehouse right now id be making about 2% more income.
So i don't think that it would create any form of monopoly. What it might do is actually make party cards cheaper as people would use them less, which might make it more accessible to new players.

My party card warehouse is never a plantation warehouse, doing so would be short sighted

What most fail to think about (and the reverse is the same for Bigtea as well) is that Bigtea thinks in much larger scale then 99% of all players.

Bigtea wants to build a lvl 4000 warehouse and 99% of other players think a lvl 500 warehouse is plenty.

What Bigtea is doing is pushing the game past its current limits and I applaud him for that. For those players who have reached "end game" status, there needs to be more to work on. Perhaps the TECH that reduces warehouse cost needs be taken to level 30 or 40, but of course at a cost that only "end game" players can afford if they want to.

(Bigtea doesn't think small)

+1 I agree "endgame" status players should have something that they can spend gold on that doesn't directly impact PvP
