Indeed, Google has long ago died, for games. For FB community, do you mean a group perhaps? We do have a page where we publish news from time to time.

I have heard about the YouTubers way. I am not sure how to approach them. We have had 1 or 2 doing videos for PG before, on their own.

These popular game review companies, do you have any suitable ones in mind? The ones we know are either not involved in browser game or are long ago done (inactive/not popular any more). These require a fee at most cases btw but we are comfortable with this, provided they worth it.

Actually, developing a banner ad is not a horrible idea. I, and I am sure a few others, are admins or owners of various websites. I would be willing to add a banner ad on mine.

Traffic generation would not be large, but even a few a month may be worthwhile. I would be willing to let it run free for a few months to see if it would generate any traffic.

Just a thought.....

In Croatia we have HCL.hr gamming portal they do news about all type of games even table top games so you could contact them. If they accept to do news or post about PG you would cover Croatia,Serbia,Mobtenegro,Slovenia,Kosovo basicly you would cover entire Former Yugoslawia

I know of a few commentators that may charge a small fee, like TotalBiscuit and Ben “yahtzee” Croshaw, as well as Super bunnyhop. These are just popular game reviewers that i know of. AVGN or Angry Video Game Nerd, is another one.

You may try to contact Kongregate as i know they are a popular browser game website/company.

For the facebook i think the groups is the right way. For the news portion, do you guys post the news from quartermaster on the news feed? If so id consider asking for a volunteer news writer in PG, like Nelson or wicked wazz to work on it.

If you want to ask youtubers and want to learn how to approach them, i would advise asking another company as to how they approach youtubers. Youtubers like Thoughty2 have advertised different companies on videos and you can contact the companies as to how they approached him and such for insight to contacting them. However vloggers are your best bet for advertisement on the game.

The top google result for browser game reviewers shows http://Www.stuff.tv and they may be another good bet to talk to about doing a review on Pirates Glory

We are already at Kongregate. We have a few active users from there. Kongregate worked as long as they featured as for a few days. Then the influx of new players is small. We feel that the audience of Kongregate requires different kind of games than PG.

Thank you everyone for the rest of commendations.

Those who want to feature a banner of PG at your own site/blog, you can pick one from here:

Or try math game websites like Cool Math games or such like that as pg is math based in many aspects. You can try ninjakiwi as well. They are super popular.

I will place it as a header banner on a sub-page and track traffic. Will let you know what it generates after a month or so.

[quote="Captain Jack"]
Goroum - Market prices

Goroum is running out of food fast. The prices update failed on the regular update, we had to manually re-issue it today. Hopefully it will run normally automatically. If not, we will again run it manually. Sooner or later the automatic update will work. It's not a big deal.

The big deal is that Goroum is running out of food. Some might still buy at 8 gc (when Chalkos sells it as low as 3 gc) so unless Plantations come fast, this means that Goroum may run out of food. We will not artificially update the warehouse. We have never done this and we cannot do this. This is a world, a simulated world. We cannot interfere in such basic issues. Goroum may well run out of food.

What was up to us, we did it; we changed the price model. I do not know if this will prove enough for Goroum but it will surely prove a bless for trading in the long run. If you look at the whole picture, you will see a new reality emerging. It seems much more balanced than before. Surely, this feature will provide the basis for all the new features that are coming to PG in the near future.{/quote}

Here is the issue with this. Goroum iis running out of food. Now to bring food into Goroum, for those that have hideout there, you need to set up a trade route. Yes you can buy food in Chalkos cheaper, but because of trade mechanics, there is no way to do this with an auto trade route. Chalkos/Goroum route does not work because both are food.

No matter how you set up the trade route you will always be taking the same amount of food out of Goroum as you bring in, unless you do it manually and do not load out of Goroum.

There needs to be another solution or Goroum will become a "dead port"
