i completely agree the voodoo card idia , that is a possible option

plus u can't prevent all the abuses, every rule can be abused, depends on how one do it, placing so many restriction is only suppressing the freedom and enjoyment one can have,

and selling a ship will give u a portion of it, making it tough for anyone to built again plus the turns required, hence selling to shipwright is also a good option in my opinion

Hate to say this, but in a previous thread on this subject, the idea of being able to sell a ship direct from market to shipwright was raised, amongst other ideas to clear stuck ships off the market : none seemed to please the admins enough to be implemented. There was some thing about ships with a build value below a certain amount being able to be withdrawn after a period, but I've never seen any button that would permit that so perhaps it was never implemented either.
Going by the history of this topic, it would seem to be a case of 'seller beware' : once its on the market, there it stays until sold.

Even if everyone in the game agreed, it doesn't mean that they (Admins) will change their mind. As I said before, this suggestion opens the ship market to loopholes. You can't have this suggestion and close the loopholes without hurting another aspect of the market.

Just a thought. Instead of seller setting starting bid, why not start all Auctions out at 1 credit. If the ship still received no bids after a given period then it can be reclaimed for a flat fee. This would prevent or deter people from stashing ships in auction market to protect them. It would also make the market a more true version of an auction. Still a seller beware scenario.

Just a thought.

it will ruin purpose of making profit for shipwrights. time to time auctions become quite silent during that time a lot of players can take advantage of this situation.

Starting price set to 1gc will not ruin shipwrights. People could still bid whatever they want.

I have to agree with Sanji saying the ships that are not being bought should be removed from the Auction.

I did propose that after a period of non-sale, the price would be automatically reduced, then again after another period, and so on, until the ship got a bid and kick-started the countdown to sale. I figured this would stop folk using the market to store ships and would eventually sell most as they would eventually become temptingly priced.
