Getting back on topic - its an interesting idea and for players who have been around for awhile, it gives them a new goal to work towards - but a few questions

would this be port based - i would think so

also, is there an option to get nations involved here as well - possibly gaining trust faster when trading in a port owned by the same nation as the trader - or conversely, losing trust in a port if you hostility points with the nation who owns the ports exceeds a certain level - if true diplomacy gets implemented this feature could then be expanded into that as well

It is an interesting thought. I like the modifications you are suggesting Yosarian.

Yeah, just ignore em, that's what I do too.

After arguing with them for too long, you will start to stop giving a care to them.

And will realize they are just small trolls.

I have to give this a -1. I want to draw away from the divide between Merchants and Pirates. This is clearly helping one side more than the other.

Lets try to even the playing field a bit.

Fugitive from Justice

This is clearly helping one side more than the other.

Can we change it so that the danger gain happens an hour after the cast?

Hostile Natives

This is clearly helping one side more than the other.

Can we change it so that it never existed?

Can be used by Merchants and Pirates alike. This is clear exclusion.

There are many different play styles in this game. It is ok to provide a benefit to one "class" as long as the other classes get something too. I see nothing wrong with this suggestion.

Oh no it is a fine suggestion, but it seem's like he who has most vessels wins in this 'attribute'...
