Suggest putting the Statistics on a second page to make more room for submitted articles if the volume of submissions will allow it.

This is more for the journalists , i made a story today about Earthquakes in Tortuga : I personally think , journalists should include more geographical news such as Tsunamis hitting a player , causing all there ships to be turned over ect...

How many lives were lost and how were port stocks affected ?

To cry wolf when none is present cheapens the Avonmora Herald.
Untrue stories are more in line of the ABC news type of reports where it is nothing but fictitious accounts of non-existent happenings.

You could report Tortuga almost had an earthquake where almost some stocks were lost and many citizens were almost killed but to outright spread false news and call it news does the Herald a very large disservice in my view.

Battle for Tortuga still on The Battle of Tortuga continues, for the 9th day in a row. This time, the contest is between Midway Islands and England while Cuba seems to have retreated from the port. Midway Islands currently hold the important port but our reports show that the English have the upper hand right now

First story below headline. Midway held the port at the previous upkeep, and a few hours later at the most recent upkeep, Midway again held the port.

I resubmit my earlier suggestion. It just doesn't make sense to release a document like this a few hours before upkeep happens changing/invalidating stories referenced in the document.

Why not just make 30 minutes after upkeep the deadline for article submission, and issue the daily at 01:00 game time?

Furthermore, there's quite alot of typos, typesetting inconsistencies and insufficient fact-checking throughout. Biggest case and point "The Porates Rebellion" ... That particular typo was one line of text below the headline.

It seems like ya'll could use an editor... I'm interested if no one else is.

Does depend on the editorial staff being online at that time... not all are in a convenient time-zone for that, I would imagine. Out of date news is an issue, but inevitable.. its not 24/7 rolling TV news, after all.

As for the typos... yeah.. but I think they add some color to it... but then, i cnat type very well so typos are a daily fact of liff for me... ;(
