+1

Multi-question (Survey) Polls. Can't be done directly in the forums, but can be created outside of the forums and linked. Can get some great analysis and breakdowns.

Yea...that makes it a pain to implement.

Not really, the only downside would be limiting access to votes, although I'm sure there are ways to do that.. The setup is very simple. I'll build a demo one for the previous draft and provide the link.

While I think that there is consensus on many things about the draft (6 months between drafts, 5 captains, etc.), I like Stan's idea here or maha's idea about having a specific purpose for the draft (most profitable, most port control, most formidable, etc.). I think that it would make it more clear what the "best" team is supposed to be. That may be why the vote was so split between the teams because of people's different conceptualization about what is "best."

Other ideas that I second, next captains are first 5 people picked (minus people who have already been captains) and 2 votes in the voting. With the number of solid teams, voting for the top two allows for people to support the top teams and, I believe, gives a better picture of what people think about the teams involved in the draft.

There needs to be room for debate and discussion which made this draft such a huge success. If the criteria used is too clear there is less to discuss and it's this player interaction that makes it such a fun exercise. So, criteria yes, but not something that can easily be checked or verified through stats.

Stats can also be misleading. For example a player who has carefully picked a few battles may have 100% win ratio. That means little compare to a player that has had 10,000 battles and has a 98% win ratio.

I'm still hoping for an Avonmora Herald article on the Fantasy Draft. We have some skilled writers here, but I'm not one of them.

Hey! I just got a new achievement, just for being drafted as no. 12 :-)

Thank you, Captain Jack. And also a thanks to SHM, who decided I was worthy of being drafted.

Me:  Which is best to use of the following?
Me:  X Player has been picked in the Winner Team!
Me:  or
Me:  X Player has been picked in the Winning Team!
Me:  or something else

Similarly Captain of the Winning Team or the Winner Team?
