As I entitled it above, no bug.

Yes, take screenshots next time. As it stands, you are calculating something in the wrong way. The quartermaster simply compares fame totals so there is no room for a bug.

Take note that the update is not at the top of the hour. It is 5 minutes afterwards and more.

Also when tallying fame, make sure you calculate real fame earned, not the damage you conducted. You earn half from what you conduct.

The links you posted are of no use. Whenever you want to report a battle, simply hit the report button. There is no need to do this for this issue though as the battles alone are not enough. If I wanted you to post something, I would tell you.

I posted the reports and the numbers so all could see my math and check it if they care too. Is there some fame change missing, yes I did not add the romance addition as I can no longer access that news post however the 20-30k I received is only a 0.2% change in the overall number. My voodoo logs showed no voodoo cast during that time period. As for that comment, coming in response to a politely worded post attempting to detail the issue to the best of my abilities. That says more than you know.

Fair enough, here is the number including all changes from 00:00 23 Feb 2014 to 01:00 24 Feb 2014, 10,953,146 still a great deal more then 2+ million. As the great majority of battles and fame change happened between 14:19 and 14:31 that most likely isn't the cause of any confusion or major miscalculations on my part.

Captain Jack wrote:Also when tallying fame, make sure you calculate real fame earned, not the damage you conducted. You earn half from what you conduct.

At the bottom where plunder is listed it says "Your fame decreased by 669,814!" in a loss or "Your fame increased by 984,012!". If you are saying this amount isn't correct then there is an issue with the Battle Reports. This is the values I used in the tallying, my fame change. So what you are saying is the fame change in the battle report is apparently twice the fame you actually earn, if that is true than the overall change is 5.8 million, still around twice of the reported greatest fame gain. If its because the battle reports don't show the true amount of fame gained or lost, then there is an issue that needs corrected.

Yes, if there was something that seemed wrong with the battle I will make sure to click report. However, looking at a battle report my question is where is this "report" button. Secondly, the issue was not with the battle reports, I added them to prove the veracity of my claim. Anyone can talk hypothetical and say what if. I simply am showing the proof in the form I have available, the battle reports. I can't see the back end so I can't show the comparison to the player that was listed on the QM report.

Captain Jack wrote:The quartermaster simply compares fame totals so there is no room for a bug.

If it is a Bug. It may be as simple as a 7th digit in the fame gain pisses off something in the QM reports code. If it isn't a bug then there is a bigger issue and I stand by the games battle reports as my proof that something is amiss.

For the Consideration of all,

I would like to understand what is meant by "If I wanted you to post something, I would tell you." That sounds awfully close to, "if i wanted your opinion i would give it to you" this is a phrase used Exclusively to be insulting to a person.

reporting this battle wouldn't have made a difference. the battle went on exactly according to the rules. the only discussion here is what happened when the calculation of fame happened at the update.

as i understand it, this information was posted to prove that the fame gained by Feildin's battles with rolandos far exceeded the amount Orphindale got when attacking Feildin later on. the posted data proves what happened here, each battle Feildin posted includes the "you gained fame" number. as i have mentioned about, in the 24 hour period, Feildin gained fame of over 15 million, even after 48 hours, his fame gained on that particular raid on Rolando totaled more then 2 million.

This was after several hours of attacks fielded by whoever as he had fug cards active on him for hours upon hours.

this particular line of quotation is relevant to the discussion we are having: "Also when tallying fame, make sure you calculate real fame earned, not the damage you conducted. You earn half from what you conduct." if that is to mean that 50% of the fame taken is actually lost, not actually gained, that still wouldn't make a bit of difference. rolando lost 30 million fame, which corresponds with Feildin's gain of 15 million fame net at the point of update.

More importantly, this is supported by common sense. We focused on Feildin's fame count before, during and after the raid, multiple players contributed hideouts to ensure that he would not lose significant amounts of fame after the fact. because of our measurements, it was clear that Feildin maintained at least 15 million fame from the raid overall. for another player to be given the lead on the fame-gain leaderboard is degrading to the effort and coordination that was put into ensuring Feildin gained such a large amount of fame.

the only way this could have happened would have been a bug....

this is a Problem for us as a group, because an effort that required multiple players accomplished their set task, and then had their accomplishment negated by a glitch in the game code. we want players to feel they are part of something, and not having their efforts rewarded discourages their efforts in the future. furthermore, hideout is a RARE card, several players cast SEVERAL rares to make that 15 million fame gain happen, and that is a serious issue.... multiple high credit cards were used, as of now a hideout sells for 10 credits.... roughly 100 credits dissipated for no reason if this bug is allowed to continue.

we want the cards we cast back... at the bare minimum.

more importantly, it would be much appreciated if the fact that this was a game glitch was acknowledged.
