Banks: Minimum Balance & Maintenance Fees

Banks should have the options to set minimal balances & maintenance fees.

Minimum Balance:
- No minimum or upto 50% of Max account size

Maintenance Fees:
-Flexible to banks needs
-Options could include:
a)Scheduled Set Fee (Daily/Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Monthly)
b)Minimum Balance Fee (Accounts below minimum balance)
c)Maximum Fee Amounts could not exceed 1000gc per day

It's optional. You wouldn't need to implement them. And the fees would be small like nothing more than 1000gc per day. I myself am looking at how to provide a return on accounts via interest. I may have a suggestion that will allow bankers to do it automatically.

this will never work unless you make it a requirement for all banks. i would simply not store gc in a bank that charges me for it.

then comes the issue of minimum deposit. what happens if i have 35m in a bank that has minimum deposit set to 50% and holds 50m, and i want to withdraw 15m? am i not allowed? does this also mean i can only have 25m+ or nothing?

It would work like a bank does in the real world. If your balance is below the minimum you are charged a "Maintenance Fee". It doesn't prevent you from using the bank or having a balance below the minimum. It just provides an additional means for banks to earn gc.

I'm also working out a suggestion that would allow bankers to setup accounts to earn interest.

In general, do not attempt complex suggestion without first going through the discussion topic.
I usually simply move such to game discussion but I won't do this for this topic as it's not like it is anything new and I do not see it ever being implemented; mostly because it would encourage the creation of a bank for personal coffer, something we want to discourage.

There may be a wish for an option to delete bank accounts that's not in use.
