gonna have to go with -1, since there are only 2 fluyt type ships, and there are 4 galleon type ships. so spending the same amount of resources it takes to get the galleon tech just for 2 more ships seems kind of a waste. maybe if you add in it will affect the howker aswell, that might make it a bit more appealing. but even then it seems a bit of a waste of resources.

I see the point that the costs are to great for the benefit. Perhaps a variation that alters cost and benefits to make it more balanced. Fluyts can be useful.

Fluyts are cheap, easy to make and easier to replace, and one of the slowest, if not the slowest ship in the game. Compared to galleons, they really just need a speed increase to see profits similar to that of the LMM and the Galleon trading...

I'm fairly certain galleons are slower then fluyts well at least the trade galleon is anyway. fluyts have the benefit of being a cheap trade ship that is more effective then howkers, but cheaper then galleons and merchantmen. having a tech that boosts them the same as the galleons seems pointless to me. not to mention the galleon tech also boosts the ships pvp power, since some galleon ships are war ships not trade ships. but boosting the fluyts pvp power would be rather pointless since they are NOT built for battle. this seems to me to be a poorly thought out idea.

If it would affect cargo size aswell making large fluyt similiar if not better in department of cargo then I would go with +1 but for speed and hull only with similiar expenses I will go with -1 on this one

I would rather see ship specializations that makes the fluyts more relevant before a tech gives them a boost in some direction.
