New ship idea

Topsail schooner
a very fast highly maneuverable mid sized warship.
purpose - overtake and plunder other ships
additional purpose - excellent for fast shipments of important cargo.
gold bars or a possible smuggling vessel for another suggestion i am working on

I suggest this either be available at the shipwright or possibly only available by some form of game activity.
npc quest, Nation pirate sanction idea (
http://www.piratesglory.com/forums/view ... f=4&t=2575) or similar. The ship still be available to post on the market similar to a MoW.
this is a basic Idea, I am open to suggestions
i edited my cargo rating - as my original spec of 90 would reduce desire for mid size cargo ships

Interesting Ship Idea...
I would avoid this being able to be built as I see this ship being pretty handy. I very much like the idea of it being part of a mission, much like the MoW is. I would raise the 'base' cost of it from $30,000 to $100,000, as I would place this ships value above a Brig, but below a Brig of War. This value is only there for the plunder rule of course since I am suggesting it only through Missions or Buying on Market.

Interesting ship. But I would say a ship like that must have its own fleet rules. in fact, may be per Imperia, research a technology that increases number of ships per fleet?

Now there is an interesting idea... Game changer.
Traders would enjoy the benefits of less merchants needed
Pirates would enjoy the increased fire power of say, 4 Frigs and 2 Cutters... or more.
I could see more ships sailing which would tie into the new plunder rules a bit and officer contracts research..
Lots of possibilities with that suggestion PK

I can see 100 ships in a fleet it would make alot but it would be targeted

I will say what cpt. Jack said on my ship idea suggestion, currently, they plan on added one ship.
They say that they will only do that when all the ships we currently have is equally used,it means that we should think of special things that a ship or two can do that others can't. Before that, they will not add anymore ships yet.

Guluere - you suggested variations on ship that did not actually bring much of anything new to the table just alternate versions of ships we already have a lot of. although similar to an exaggerated cutter this ship is different than anything available and works well for shipping small cargo shipments fast or plundering ships. I got you on it not getting much consideration by admin but there is no chance my idea will fly if i don't put it out there.
edit** i miss remembered that post, when i went back to look at it, they were completely different than existing ships, but I personally have no use for either. if a smuggling feature could be implemented into the game perhaps the clipper would be quite useful.
Rodney - I think the idea of implementing ship technology into a hide out is a great idea. so perhaps you can build specialty ships, or just modify existing ones to custom specs. In this time period smart captains modified ship structure to fight better, sail faster, or hold more cargo.
pk - more ships per fleet is also a real interesting idea. changes shipping and war fleet organization strategy as well as plunder tactics.
it could add a lot of extra strategy. i would hate to see someone coming at me with a 20 lvl 10 MoW fleet though.

Although I think there should be a greater limit to the amount of ships in a fleet or when you have more then 5 ships you need another admiral or they could add another one above captain but below admiral

Or a new type of officers. Like admirals become fleet admiral or vice admiral and with more ships you need Navy admiral
