Black Market

Today, in this fine world Avonmora mateys' we have to Markets:
- Voodoo Market ( SPOILER: It sells Voodoo cards )
- Ships Market ( SPOILER: It sells Ships! )

However I feel for sketchy criminals , such as me'self I be looking deeper into the game mechanics and be proposing a Black Market, for those who do not know what be' a Black Market, ye be' quiet stupid! Nay - I will provide a description of such.

an illegal traffic or trade in officially controlled or scarce commodities.

But instead of illegal products being sold, offers will be put up such as the following:
> Players with credits but may not have banks " Big enough " to sell the via there, so they post on here.
> Ships that need instant buying - Stolen or not, there will be a buy now price instead of the normal ship market.
> Voodoo quick buying, no time-out just instant sales ( Which will be recorded )

The price will be 50 credits in order to enter here, as it is a community and Black Markets they often need to check you and pay to get into some, maybe.

Interesting idea. Wouldn't everyone start to use this market as opposed to the regular markets?
Do you envision the prices to be much higher for the instant grab of voodoo or ships? 30%-50%?
Would this make investing in the banking system that much less appealing if you could sell/buy credits here?

Just curious on your thoughts Nelson. I would love to have a "Buy it now" button, as I am sure many others would too. But I also know the current system is in place for a reason.

The markets were filled with chatter of horrid voodoo suggestions made by one "Chin Chin" and the vendors, the poor lads, couldn't take the excruciating pain!!!!

Interesting questions, be' them for sure. I be answering them accordingly:

Answer to Question one: No, as unlike the others there is a "fee" to join this market, of 50 credits per month ( Forgot to post this ) , and even then 10% of every Transaction is kept ( In credits or gold coins ) - Unlike the current markets where 10% is kept if it goes over 100 credits ( I think. )

Answer to Question 2: Well obviously since it will be instant grab and no waitin', ye would type in 250 credits ( But the price is listed as 275 credits ) So around 10% higher , but as I said in the last question, the 50 credits per month be only handy if you sellin' such ships - Regularly.

Answer to Question 3: Well again, since it costs you 50 credits per month and ye' can upgrade a bank with 50 credits ( Each time ascending ).

This is a rough draft, at that...

The black market means trading between people organised by themselves in secret.
In real life this is often done to AVOID the taxman.
And such trading carries its own risk as a level of trust is needed between traders.
To make it a actual game feature would make it a legitimate market and therefore a grey market at best.
If you have credits or ships to sell or want to buy ask around.
Why pay someone else to do it for you?

In general I like the idea but the credit amount for access seems a little much, and instant access to ships and voodoo will empower P2P vs the rest of us. Deep pockets can already hold an advantage in conflict but being able to use your credits instantly and incredibly specifically could be dangerous.
