War on ports

I had a thought on this for quite sometime now (hopefully no trolls will come and ruin this).

My thought was have every port to have 10 sectors and each sector will have an important building there that will supply resources, like a fish port on one sector will give X food every min or so to your ware house.

A factory that will give you X gold coins every hour and so on.

The next thing is that, how do one take control of a sector, well, I was going and thinking on, that a war will take place, lets say, you hire 1 mill people to protect this sector of the port and you can also hire crew from other ports and dump them on to a sector to protect it.

And when someone attacks the sector, he will need an army ready, which I was thinking of just have you hire them and call them to attack.

The port with the most sector owned by the person of the nation, eg. 7 spain : 2 Midway : 1 Egypt. Spain owns the port.

Population of the target port will also play a roll and so on.

Give me your opinion on this, and please, for the love of god, don't ruin this for me.

Also, to make it so that a problem will not happen, the lower the population of the port, the more expensive it is to hire more "army".

*Sees Guluere's thread*
*Guluere brings up a decent suggestion*

"Release the Troll Hoard!"
"Arm the Verbal Warriors!"

Verbal Warriors: Who is it this time?
Me: Guluere
Verbal Warriors: Is it another voodoo curse?
Me: No, a suggestion
Verbal Warriors: This is gonna be a bit different
Me: Yes, we need backup!

What would happen with influence? If you can recruit at a different port and use that somewhere else it makes influence lose a lot of control over who has the port. I don't think that having 10 buildings that can produce every resource at every port would be a good idea because if you can either buy everything at a port or have it produced, it eliminates the need for storing resources and would change the entire merchant world.

Verbal Warrior Screech! -1! Didn't read past the second line, but still. 10 sectors in a port? No thanks! Making it to where the wealthy have an even bigger advantage over others. "Hire an army, you can even buy people from other ports!!!!!" Yeah, Bigtea's army of 2 billion child-soldiers sounds like a great idea!

Influence will still be there for the need to hire people to protect a sector.

You will still need the Influence and money to hire that amount of soldiers.

but if I have 10,000,000 influence in Hannes and I recruit crew from there on ships and bring them to Aiora where I have 10,000 influence allowing me to take over a sector without losing anything (unless you count the scraps of gold you wouldn't have). I still think being able to produce every good in every port is something that should never ever ever ever ever ever ever happen

Proving my point that this adds more bonuses to being a Merchant in Merchant's Glory.

Yes, lets say on a food port, there is a farm sector, fishing sector and so on. But the idea of having factory which gives X gold coins every hour, to me, is good.

If the have the amount of captains to transport that amount of crew, I would gladly change something.

Don't pirates also make money or do they not? Of not, I think they should just become a merchant.

Pirates make money, just not as much... and why would I become a merchant just to have more money? That's less fun.
