Spy Network Bounty Idea

Background: When you cast a bounty, you give money in order to have specific voodoo or attacks done to the target. You list the total bounty, and then how much will be given each time the bounty is completed.
Example:
Total Bounty: 1 million
Bounty Per Plunder: 100,000
So they must plunder the target 10 times, each time they get 100,000, to complete the bounty.

Now we got that out of the way, here is the idea:

Spy Network Bounties:
The bounty caster states in the bounty that anyone who casts Spy Network on this specific person will get (insert number) gold. BUT, when they cast Spy Network with this bounty on, an automatic mail is sent to the bounty caster which displays the spy report.

Example: John puts a 1 million dollar bounty on Bob, and Sarah claims the bounty.
1. John puts a 1 million bounty on Bob for anyone that casts Spy Network on Bob.
2. Sarah casts Spy Network on Bob.
3. Sarah claims her 1 million dollars.
3. Sarah automatically sends mail to John stating the Spy Report, BUT Sarah DOES NOT KNOW that John casted the bounty, the mail is sent anonymous. Neither does John or Sarah know each other. John does not know Sarah claimed the bounty, and Sarah does not know who she sent the mail to.
4. John gets a message from "Anonymous Bounty Hunter" with the topic "Spy Report" stating the report.
5. Bob does see Sarah casted Spy Network, but does not know who casted the bounty still.

So Sarah and John's identity are secret to each other, but Bob knows Sarah casted Spy Network on him.

Keeping identity hidden can be very useful for some people.

Dave Matthews once said (hahaha funny!!), "you pay for what you get." If you want to stay low and out of the combat, I don't think you should be placing bounties or casting voodoo. It's like if my name was Oberluso and I tried to cast voodoo and got shocked when it was returned. I think it is useful to know who cast spy network on you, because you can see that there IS a bounty on you for it and this way you know that they are either doing it for money or because they wanted to cast on you.

??? You know who casted Spy Network on you, but you do not know who received the report.

If you look at the bounty board, you can see "100,000 per Spy Network cast on _________" or whatever it says. If you are doing this for money, I don't think it should come without the risk of losing it. Hiding the names is just protecting aggression, which is really bad for the game in my opinion.

This is the same concept the bounty board keeps, this just makes Spy Network helpful on the bounty board.
Referring to the Example, Bob knows Sarah casted Spy Network on him, but he does not know that John received the Spy Report, neither does Sarah.

You might as well dislike all additions to the bounty board because the entire purpose of it is to protect players from aggression.

Maybe the players that put out the bounty, but those who want the gold have to do the job and need to accept that they might be attacked for it. Playing your cards right and knowing when something is right and wrong is integral to playing this game.

The player casting Spy Network is shown to targeted player. The player receiving the Spy Report is anonymous. I don't think you see. John the bounty lister rides free like all bounties, but the caster, Sarah, is shown to Bob.

Okay, I misread. You're just trying to give Spy Network more use on the bounty board. Not sure who this would appeal to as I would much prefer to use one myself and keep the money and have the report or hire someone else to do it, such as a mercenary.

Mercs require pay as well. This is just a way to appeal to all Mercs instead of having to ask them all. Also, a Merc can scam you. This is a regulated system of gaining reports anonymously.
