Nation Suggestion * NPC Targets *

Ahoy there,

Recently there has been a number of Nation Suggestions, I have thought of one ; Which I believe to be good, now here it is...

Instead of the NPC Nation Target just being made Visible in any Port to that player - Make it so , every single Player can see him and has a chance to attack - They are 2 reasons to why I think this one is a good idea...
1) Make Nation Missions Harder - By making everybody see it , they will have limited time before someone attacks (Maybe).
2) Free gold coins & Fame to the newer players if they can beat them - Such as Stede Bonnet with the Level 10 War Galleon

Now you may be asking, what would happen if a random player attacked the NPC Target, well ; If attacked and defeated, the NPC would re-appear in 5 Mins, in a different Port. Whilst, if the NPC was attacked and the player lost - It would re-appear in 10 Mins in a different port.

Now, onto the Travel Suggestion for NPC's, so so far we have : NPC Target moves when Attack and defeated, or attacked and won - If after a hour nobody has attacked he moves to a different location.

If you think, this will make the Nation Missions harder ~ Nation Missions are meant to be a challenge, believe it or not.

Your opinions are welcome,
Roberts.

What prevents older player(s) with extensive resources and ships from spamming the NPC Targets with attacks just to prevent someone from completing Nation Missions?

This is particularly relevant to players that don't want newer players having control or the possibility of control within their Nation.

Why would someone spend there time such as older players clicking on plunder page throughout the day? Why would they for a measly 25,000 - 125,000? When they can make millions a day without spending no turns?...

Whilst, that is kind of the idea - Players that do not want other players may send out fleets across and hit every NPC stopping them from growing ;) Whilst also, not just NEW PLAYERS , the older players...

In this case, Perhaps you are right : Perhaps the player that has NOT chosen to do the mission has a limit of hitting 5 None Player Targets a day?...

Is the NPC based on Nation? What I mean is will there only be 1 NPC target at any given time, or will there be the potential for multiple NPC Targets of different Nations simultaneously? How would that effect Pirate Hunters?

Nice idea but that means its a win situation for the one who spends of his most time in the game. But instead it should that the intelligent one should win. I think it just needs a little bit of tweaking...

Well, I think the intelligence part is actually watching Global Events... Whilst having 21 Fleets across Avonmora...

It would also be relevant to newer players not wanting older players having or gaining control of their nation too.

I like the idea : I've switched flags and done the ranking run a few times now and the more you do them, the easier they get in terms of knowing where the target fleets are most likely to be : as PR says, smarter player will prep for it by placing spy fleets in most ports anyway : this would give the mission player a choice : sail your hit fleet there and hope no-one hits the NPC first, or spend turns/voodoo to race there and hit first.

The one caveat would be that some of the powerful NPC fleets can take a smack or two to weaken them before gaining the required win : if it bugs out on the first hit and re-appears elsewhere, that weakening attack would be wasted : you would need a straight out win first time, which is a tough ask against lvl0+ warships if you dont have a MoW/sotl fleet yourself. and the Mow is the prize for the first time runners who would need to be able to win with less than that.

Watching global events carefully also falls into the activity part :)

Indeed, which many " Smarter Players " normally can make the Rank-Up's required within a matter of mins, such as Shaydo; He did 8 ranks within a hour ( I believe ) and many others... It is also simple to get None Player targets, just get a cutter - and fast travel across the map - For those saying " We need turns/Credits to do that "... Banks sell credits :P If you can not afford credits - Then why are you doing a nation mission?

Regarding Danik's rather good point ; Perhaps a exception can be made, the Militant ranks you need to win within one Shot, whilst the Noble ranks need to be defeated in 5 Hits?

P.S Warrior... Shhhh ;) Nobody knows
