Add a Help chatroom/ tutorial change

Add a "Help" chat room or a "Need Help" chat room that's permanently open. The responsibility comes to the players to staff it. It's hard as a new player to get started, even with the new tutorial, and the biggest thing that helps new players, is other players. Adding more options for this to happen, even beyond new players getting a chat message from an active one, is to add the new Help chat room, and also add to the tutorial all the different ways a new player can get help, via chatroom, a guild, the forums, the chat at the bottom of the page, etc.

I can see it now. Perhaps on the right of the screen. A small box floating over where the chat is now.

Need Some Help?
There are 8 people currently available:
"State your question or issue."
[____ box for question___]

Then people who were previously invisible can see the question and decide if they want to chime in. Then they can either respond directly in the box or start a new private chat or message with the person needing help.

Them not just showing up in a list protects others from tracking their habits too much like if it just said they were online. This way they can decide when to step out and help.

Also, players could press an X to make the whole option go away once they no longer need it. I recognize how this is similar to posting a question in a forum, but in a small little box as soon as they start out might make it a bit easier. They can still decide it's too hard of a game and leave which still filters out the "intellectuals." :D

The name of the chat room is open to change. You're allowed to change your vote.

My first thought when i read the post title was exactly what you described Roi. An always open chat room that the player man to provide help and support, when a new player starts they automatically go into the chat room (maybe in the unused space bottom left) and existing players man it to provide help and support. Vets don't have to join it and new players can leave it, but it would provide instant help, the pop up we get doesn't always work because some of us go AFK and still get the message but they get no reply.

Also might be a good idea ask for a few "player helpers" that are required stay in the chatroom whilst they are online.

Agree the chat functions needs to be highlighted somewhat better than currently... I didnt even know it was there until it was pointed out to me one day; that little speech-bubble box bottom right that activates the chat tool-bar aint immediately noticable when you already trying to understand and navigate a whole set of other links and pages in a new game : I'd suggest the default be set so that the tool-bar is always open unless you choose to close it, or some permanent text be added to the current speech-bubble link to make it clear what its function is.

It's not a bad idea especially when it comes to helping new players.

Jimminey Christmas, a half way decent tutorial/help guide would go a long way to solving issues, juuuust a little easier than a 24 hour a day manned chat help desk.

OR, here is a shocking concept, an interface update that consolodates half these menus into, well, half. At least. I could concieve of a control panel that could control the entire game from one page. Would not be a waste of time to go back and rethink some user friendly fixes to the nuts and bolts, blood and guts experience of this game.

My 2 cents worth. Here's my bill:)

-You propose a good idea and I think you should polish it and expand on it in it's own thread so we can give it the attention it needs.
