Sitters

The idea of a Sitter is if someone is going away for a long time say a week plus that you can give someone permission to take care of your fleets but you can choose what they can and can not do. Such as, Watch and move trade fleets but not sell your ships or auction your voodoo cards. I got this idea from another game that I used to play before pirates glory. It was called Travian. It gave some else the power to protect and manage your account while you couldn't be there. It also had a time limit so if the player getting sited went inactive the other person couldn't take advantage of a second account.

I really like this idea. Especially with the time limit thing added in. I used to play Travian and the sitter function saved my ass so many times.

I unfortunately have to disagree with this idea... I see this being used for milking players of their gold reserves or other such shenanigans

I also have to disagree with this even though it'd be useful but it also allows milking and ideas like this have been disapproved in the past.

Surely the limit for what you could do would stop the milking? Maybe it could just be used to watch the players trade fleets? That way you can't really milk the player.

You make a good point but it's just all very tricky.

If it was undecided for this to go ahead. Maybe there should be an experimental period to work it all out. Then we could truly decide weather it is a good idea or not.

Well versions of this have been denied in the past soo... Won't this just make it harder for pirates to do their job and pirate  Now I'm personally not a fan of that.

Hang on. So you don't want the sitter idea. But you also don't want to be pirated while you are gone.

What if there was a limit to how many times you could use this per year. Say, 5 times a year?
