I agree with port supply max being cut. 8 mill seems extremely low though. Although if you could buy more than one good in a particular port wouldn't market forces balance this a bit?

Scenario

Day three of resupply cycle and Aiora runs out of wood. But Tortuga is over supplied with wood due to Aiora-Tortuga trade route. Could we not add a secondary market of one or two items? Price premiums put in place because the port does not produce these goods themselves would be in order obviously.

This would allow for new players to still be able to purchase needed supplies.

Nations controlling ports would still protect their ports.

Would bring in a bit of the Merchant v merchant theme as people battle for the best price.

I see a few negatives with this also but maybe a scenario like this could be discussed.

in 13 hours after update

Resource Crates
Wood 2,160,091
Iron 4,193,524
Tools 4,899,620
Cotton 2,459,433
Food 1,981,543
Rum 2,495,960
Tobacco 2,309,990
Gold Bars 21,327 (Today Sales)

at present 5,436,036 crates per port will be added every 72 hours.
i know at the end of the 72 hour period we will have better picture to see results but with current calculations if we roll it to 72 hours it will be
Resource Crates
Wood 13m
Iron 25m
Tools 29.4m
Cotton 15m
Food 12m
Rum 15m
Tobacco 13.8m

at present if fertile lands will totally end with current goods update amount we cant find tools and iron for building ships. also i believe party trade will also be damaged. i know at present fertile lands change competition a lot for trading. but when no more fertile lands to cast avonmora will be doomed. thats why before it comes we need alternative ways to produce goods. we should focus on that instead of lowering current stocks and i believe when noone able to find fertile lands to cast that time you will get what you want for traders competition.

If Captain Jack can inform us for current fertile lands amount in game, we may have better picture to see what future will bring us and how fast.
