I like the start of this discussion. I think it could be a cool new game feature if done right. It could be used to replace some voodoo.

I look forward to see how it progresses.

What if it worked like the Governor's daughter system, with doing stuff to raise the percentage of gaining a good buff, and every time you ask for a blessing the percentage goes down

Talking about Nature, the old (and not actually used) voodoo Fertile Lands might have some role in pleasing Nature. The card could be modified a bit for the purpose.

I'm not sure the weather making your ships sail faster is necessarily a pro.

Yeah, it's not really a pro for traders, because after sometime, the danger system with the 1 hour delay would end up lining up all the trade fleets for one HNs raid.

And with the danger system, 1 hour delay, the faster fleets doesn't help.

Most pirates think that every trader always have 5 Favorable Winds on them.

That's why I hope they add in a choice for buffs.

Weather related suggestions are definitely a concept that could/should be implemented into the game; however, I think a working baseline needs to be implemented before we consider other weather related suggestions.

I think some interaction with the wild nature nation is warranted, but this should come in the form of NPC monster bosses and has been suggested in other threads which will cover this more thoroughly.
